Sadly, Google Notebook, a google tool I only just began using is now being cut.
I am joining those who mourn its passing. Perhaps this is a casualty of the economy?

Loren Johnson's comments on inexpensive/free network security. Bloating security budgets do not excuse over-spending for world-class network security.

Evernote seems to have taken on the role of soon to be defunct Google Notebook. It is free, but has its limits. If I am going to continue the use of Google Notebooks for my writing I may have to purchase an account and at $5/month that is steep. The free version will have to do until I come up with some other solution for taking notes while online.
Yahoo briefcase also closes its doors. A theme? sigh
Evernote also has a Google Notebook Importer. Could it be any easier?
Evernote is one of the eight alternatives discussed here: http://www.lifehack.org/articles/technology/8-replacements-for-google-notebook.html
I'm going to miss Google Notebook too!
